about love
what shall we do
i said i don’t mind
a walk in the park
the supermarket
we could go for a coffee
and you can drink tea
the garden needs water
and i have to buy stamps
take the dog for a run
there are emails to send
we could clear out the cupboards
fix the plaster, paint walls
or hike in the rain
(i don’t care, do you)
sit somewhere quiet
and read different books
take a nap holding hands
or this stuff to the tip
you could wait outside the changing rooms
and say
get both, you look beautiful
the recycling needs sorting
shall we go to the pub
or i can lie in your arms
and do nothing
let’s do that
